Customers
The Customers module is your central register of all companies and individuals you invoice. Every invoice, quotation, and job links back to a customer record.
Customer list
Go to Finance → Customers (or Accounting → Customers depending on your active modules) to see all your customers in a searchable, sortable list.
- Search by name, TIN, phone, or email
- Click any row to open the FactBox summary panel
FactBox
Clicking a customer row opens the FactBox — a side panel with a quick summary of that customer without leaving the list:
- Total invoiced (all time)
- Outstanding balance (unpaid invoices)
- Number of active jobs
- Last invoice date
Click Open → in the FactBox to navigate to the full customer detail page.
Customer detail page
The full detail page shows everything related to a customer in one place:
| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| Overview | Company name, TIN, phone, email, address, contact person |
| Invoices | All invoices for this customer — status, amount, due date |
| Jobs | All logistics jobs linked to this customer |
| Quotations | All quotes sent to this customer |
Use the Invoices tab to quickly see what is outstanding, overdue, or already paid for any specific client.
Creating a customer
- Go to Customers → click + New Customer
- Fill in:
- Company Name (required) — must be unique
- TIN — Tanzania Revenue Authority tax identification number
- Phone (required)
- Email — used for sending invoices and quotations
- Address — appears on invoices
- Contact Person — primary point of contact
- Click Save
Editing a customer
Open the customer from the list or FactBox → click Edit. Changes apply to the customer profile immediately.
Editing a customer's name or address does not retroactively update already-issued invoices. Invoice snapshots are frozen at the time of issue.
Archiving a customer
Customers cannot be permanently deleted if they have invoices or jobs linked to them. Instead, use Archive to remove them from active lists without losing history.
Archived customers are excluded from search results and new-invoice dropdowns, but all their historical records remain intact.
